A conference on the theme "Youth at the forefront of climate action" was held in the Green Zone as part of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

The event was addressed by the First Lady of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva, the First Lady of Turkey, Emine Erdogan, the First Lady of Uzbekistan, Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, and the First Lady of Kyrgyzstan, Aygul Japarova.

Later, young environmental activists from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan participated with their presentations. They provided information on environmental problems and their future-oriented initiatives.

At the same time, the signing ceremony of the International Strategy for “Promoting Cultural Development and Engaging Children and Youth in the Climate Agenda” for 2024-2030 was held within the framework of the conference.
