At the 10th Conference of Ministers Responsible for Youth of the Council of Europe held in Valletta, the capital of Malta, our country was represented by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Indira Hajiyeva.
The delegation representing Azerbaijan at the event also included Rafael Hajibeyli, Chairman of the National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (NAYORA). He provided information on the measures implemented in the field of youth policy of our country and participated in an exchange of views on strengthening the role of youth in diplomacy, decision-making and international cooperation.
A meeting of high-level officials was held within the framework of the conference to discuss the final document. Delegations at the level of ministers and deputy ministers from 44 countries participated in the event.
At the end of the conference, the document “Council of Europe Reference Framework on Youth Perspectives” was adopted.
Within the framework of the conference, on October 7-10, members of the delegation participated in a meeting of authorized officials of the participating states, a number of parallel events dedicated to the topic of youth, and a meeting held at the Malta Youth Agency.
