An official opening ceremony for the international program "Gabala – CIS Youth Capital for 2025" has taken place in the city of Gabala.

The opening ceremony began with the performance of the State Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Following this, a video clip titled "Gabala – Youth Capital" was showcased.

Speeches were delivered by Indira Hajiyeva, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Tatyana Kovaleva, Head of the CIS Youth Council, and Sabuhi Abdullayev, Head of the Gabala District Executive Power. A certificate confirming the city's status as the "CIS Youth Capital" was presented to the Executive Head, Sabuhi Abdullayev. Subsequently, the logo for "Gabala – CIS Youth Capital for 2025" was unveiled.

The event then continued with a dance and music program featuring performances by Emilia Yaqubova, a mugham quartet, and Metin and Rilaya.

It's worth noting that at the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government held in Tashkent in 2023, the city of Gabala was declared the "Youth Capital" of the CIS for 2025.
