The Association of Young Azerbaijani Friends of Europe (AYAFE) was founded in 1997 by Baku State University students Metin Karimli and Anar Jahangirli. The main goal of AYAFE, the first voluntary youth organization in Azerbaijan, was to promote volunteerism and exchange experience and knowledge with young people from other countries.
