Despite its establishment in 1999, the Azerbaijan Diabetes League (ADL) has been operating as a public association since 14.09.00, having passed state registration (certificate No. 1319).
The mission of ADL: "To improve the quality of life of our citizens suffering from diabetes, to protect their rights and to closely participate in the protection of public health. ADL has more than 2000 members and representatives in 7 regions. ADL is also very active in the public sphere of Azerbaijan. It is a member of the National NGO Forum, the NGO Alliance for Children's Rights, the National Council of the Youth Organization of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Union of Disabled Organizations and the "Call to Health" NGO Alliance, and is a member of the management boards of most of them.
